About KIG
Kingston Industrial Garage (KIG) has the distinction of being Jamaica’s oldest automotive dealership and the oldest Ford dealership outside of the United States. The company was founded by the Henriques brothers early in the 20th Century and opened its doors in downtown Kingston on 15 January 1908 with the Ford Model-T car as its first offering.
Now, KIG is the authorized service provider for all the brands they carry (Ford, Subaru, Jeep & Yamaha) with over 20 service bays and a team of brand-specific factory-trained technicians. The company has approximately 100 employees on location at 381 Spanish Town Road, Kingston 11.
Why their team made the switch
Kingston Industrial Garage became one of our valued clients in July 2023, with just one machine placed in their lunch room, under a 2-week trial. Based on the success of the trial, they agreed to sign off for this (1) bottle-less unit and unfortunately continued to use the usual bottled dispensers in other areas of the establishment.
This year, 2024, enough was enough. They found themselves plagued with tons of gallon bottles stored in an empty office space, and members of their team had to be constantly collecting bottles from one central location to take to other areas and2 buildings on the site.
It is at this point, Dorianne Campbell, HR Manager at KIG reached out to us, so that our team could replace those bottled machines with our bottle-less solutions.
Looking forward to a hassle free hydrated future, the team at KIG installed three (3) other bottle-less dispensers (our new E4 Dispenser), to serve both clients and employees. These units now sit in the Lunchroom, Showroom, Service Department and the Parts Department, ensuring all members of the team stay hydrated where ever they are.
How our team made it happen:
Having an area in a building that has no access to water, like the KIG Showroom, can be the number one reason persons opt for bottled water systems.
At KIG we had the opportunity to demonstrate how easy it can be for one of our bottle-less water dispensers to be installed far away from a potable water source.
